Alissa Di Franco (b. 1970) is an artist who splits time
between Washington DC and her birthplace, San Francisco.
She works in ink on paper as well as mixed-media, sculpture,
live-plant- based sculpture and puppet-making. She explores
patterns in nature and is particularly interested in the ways
nature, ritual and pattern transform trauma and loss. Her
work reflects a life-long interest in the ‘more-than-human
world’, meditation and consciousness. After graduating from
the San Francisco Art Institute she followed her interest in
psychology and meditation, earning a master’s degree in
Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute
of Integral Studies. She is a licensed psychotherapist in
private practice.
